Speaker 1:

this experience has just taught me so much about just being in flow with life, like we can put ourselves in the direction of our dreams by following our intuitions and, you know, yes, just becoming people that we want to be, essentially just having the intention every single day to become the person that we want to be, and that, literally, is going to lead you exactly where you're supposed to go with all the dreams that are meant to happen for you. Hey, girlfriend, welcome to Journey to Limitless podcast. Together on the show, we're on a mission to build belief in ourselves and live a life of freedom, despite what tries to hold us back. I'm your host, court, an empowerment coach, travel enthusiast and a chronic illness warrior who, over the last seven years, has built a life that I'm so obsessed with and proud of, but it definitely has not come easy. So on the show, we're going to keep it real as we talk about adapting positive mindsets through hardship, taking action towards our dreams and finding peace and freedom from hustle, culture and chronic stress. Are you with me? Let's get going on your own journey to limitless.

Speaker 1:

Welcome back to another episode of the podcast. It feels so good to be here today because I took a break from the podcast last week. If you come back every week, you may have noticed there was no episode. I was supposed to put this episode out last week but my body was just like take a break, right. I could feel that I was not in the energy that I really wanted to be in and that I could feel that my body just really was saying no. And it just feels so good to honor our nose and to take the breaks, because that truly is how we will have the energy that we really want to have towards our creative endeavors. So I will have a whole other podcast episode about that, because it felt so good I couldn't even tell you and it feels so good today to honor myself and to come back with that energy that I really want to have. So I will be doing a whole other episode about that. So have no fear.

Speaker 1:

But today's episode I really just wanted to do a life update, because there has been a lot of life happening. As you may have seen, on social media I have been dropping hints about a nine year manifestation and today I want to share that with you because I can officially share it, because I put the down payment on it and it's happening. And, yeah, I just kind of want to share where I am right now in life and kind of the direction that I think that I'm going right, because, truly, this podcast is all about helping you on your journey to limitless, meaning, helping you create a life where you do not put limits on yourself and you believe that anything that's possible and your dreams are happening and you're not letting your circumstances hold you back. Right. And I just think it's important to loop you in on how I am doing that in my life, as it's happening right. So I'm just super, super excited to bring you along my journey to limitless. So I hope that you'll love this episode. If you do, you can always let me know. One of the best ways to do that, easiest ways to do that, is to take a screenshot of you listening to the podcast right now, and you can post the screenshot on your Instagram stories and tag me. I am at journey to limitless underscore. That is great for two reasons because, first of all, you allow me the chance to say thank you to you personally. I always like to definitely just send you a message and say thank you, and it also, you know, lets your friends know that, hey, I'm really enjoying this podcast and you may enjoy it as well, and it just helps the podcast grow and I just really really appreciate that. So, if you do that, I just want to thank you ahead of time and I just appreciate it.

Speaker 1:

So, jumping into today's episode, like I said, I'm going to be talking about a big life update and it just feels so good to finally be able to share this because I have been jumping hints for like the past two months about a dream that is happening in my life. That feels crazy, to even say. It feels like it just feels wild that this is happening because my 20 year old version of myself is freaking out, that the stream is here. And it feels so good because I just know that you know I deserve this and I've worked really hard to to become the person that this dream could happen for, essentially, at first, when we think about a nine year dream happening, we're like what? Why did it take nine years? Why did this dream take nine years to happen? It should have happened sooner. But the reality is I look back at it and my 20 year old version of myself was not the person that could handle this dream to happen, even though that I thought that I was and I truly wouldn't take this opportunity happening right now over any other time. This opportunity could happen Because it's truly happening in such a special, special way and also it's just trusting in our journey.

Speaker 1:

I think this experience of having this nine year dream happen is just really teaching me that we never know the timelines of our life and we can never determine. A lot of times our ego can create this timeline, but it's like oftentimes it's not the timeline that things are meant to happen. You know, I talk a lot about going after our dreams and taking action and all of these things, but at the same time, I do not believe in forcing a dream to happen. I think that we can take the action and become the person that we want to be and do the following our intuition, following our gut instincts, and that can lead us to our dreams truly. But I do not believe in forcing our dreams to happen and I tell myself, I remind myself of that when my ego can be like this dream should have happened sooner, it's like well, hold up, I was becoming the person that I want to be. So nine years, the past nine years, was not wasted and I truly feel so confident in this dream happening right now, and I became the person that this dream could manifest for, essentially. So, yeah, so if right now, you are waiting for a dream to happen maybe this has been a nine year dream, or I don't even know, maybe a five year, whatever I think I hope that at least in this episode, you can have faith that your dreams will happen, as long as they are meant for you and that, as long as you're becoming the person that you want to be, your dream, the waiting period is not wasted, and I hope that that can just serve as a reminder for you and just remind you that you never know, on the day to day basis, how you are setting up for your dreams to manifest, and I hope that the story of how this dream came into my life I hope it can give you hope that you're setting yourself up for your dreams to manifest ultimately. So I will just go ahead and share with you what this dream is, because I'm sure you're like tell me already I've had a lot of people messaging me like what is this nine year manifestation? So the nine year manifestation is I am buying a tiny house, which is crazy to even say this Because, like I said, this has been a dream since 2015, since I was 20 years old.

Speaker 1:

I remember being 20 years old and first finding out about tiny houses. I immediately created a Pinterest board, a Pinterest file. What is it Folder on Pinterest that I've been continuously adding to over the last nine years? And I was so obsessed with tiny houses and I remember on my road trip that I took in 2015, my first big adventure we saw a tiny house pretty quickly on that trip and I was just freaking out. I even saw a tiny house in Oregon and I was freaking out. And that trip and being so obsessed with tiny houses, I started really diving deep into it. My first solo trip that I ever took, I took a road trip from my hometown in Maryland to Philadelphia for a two day workshop on how to build a tiny house. So I learned from Tumbleweed Tiny House Community Tumbleweed Tiny House Builders. I was there for two days straight in workshops learning how to build a tiny house. I did the whole packet and everything and I was so dead set on doing it and I felt like it needed to happen right then, or also it was never going to happen.

Speaker 1:

If I'm going to be truly honest, I just know that if my 20 year old version of myself knew that this dream would take nine years, she would be pissed. You know what I mean. And I remember, even when I was planning to move to Colorado, I remember I distinctly wrote a Facebook status saying like, hey, I'm moving to Colorado and my plan is I'm going to buy a tiny house. And even when I was living in Colorado, you know, the thing about this tiny house dream is like, yes, it has been a dream for nine years, but over the years this dream has kind of dwindled in and out like it's always been my truth. It's always been like my, my star, I guess you could say my North Star, and it's always been the thing that I always come back to, like whenever I come back to a line, and it's like, ooh, tiny house, right, and.

Speaker 1:

But I've had a lot of other dreams in my life, like traveling the world, I'm starting a podcast, starting a business and Just like I don't know, just doing, like having a lot of life experiences that sometimes I felt like I could get off track. And then, once I get back on track, it's like, oh yeah, tiny house. I forgot about that right and Whenever I like got back on track, I was like fool in it, like looking up all the research, all of the things. And I remember, even when I was living in Colorado, when I first moved, I remember posting a status of like does anyone have any land that I can put a tiny house? Even though I had no Like no idea how I was even gonna do this tiny house. And, like I said, the past nine years this dream has kind of dwindled in and out, but without even realizing it.

Speaker 1:

Over the last nine years I was setting myself up for this dream to manifest. So, basically, how this dream happened, how it's happening right now the tiny house that I'm buying is I'm buying this tiny house from a really close friend of mine. She has lived in tiny houses I think she's lived in two or three of them and she recently just bought one with no idea of why she was buying it. She was on Facebook mark marketplace and just felt this pool that she needed to buy this tiny house and she is in the process of rebuilding it. Like she got it in everything and she had no idea of why she was buying it.

Speaker 1:

Essentially and, essentially, I manifested this opportunity in my life because, like I said, over the last nine years could be so easy to be like all this dream wasn't happening, but it was by me listening to the call to move to Colorado, by me moving to Denver, by me, you know, diving deep into personal development, by me deciding to join a community dedicated to personal development, by me feeling this pool towards this person, without any idea why and I don't not saying that tiny house is why because I just genuinely love this person and I'm inspired by this person. But, you know, I felt this pull towards her and I felt this pull towards, you know, getting to know her more deeply and joining women circles with her, and that led to this opportunity in my life. So I could sit here and look at and be like the past nine years was wasted. This dream should have happened sooner. Or I can be like, wow, this dream was happening all along, every single time that I listened to my intuition, every single time that I felt that pool. It was leading me to this happening right here, right now, and I truly would not want this dream happening any other way.

Speaker 1:

Like, this opportunity is really special I get to not only buy this tiny house from a friend who is putting so much intention and love Into this, but I get to be a part of the build process. So I Went to Colorado a few weeks ago and I got to look at the tiny house and as soon as I even saw it it At 10 o'clock at night, just peeking out her backyard, it's being built in her backyard right now it just felt like a yes, like my body was like, oh, my god, that is yours right. And it just felt so good and yeah. So I got to go to Home Depot. I got to go inside and, like you know, see how she was kind of planning to do it, and I got to go to Home Depot and kind of, you know, pick out the fixtures, pick out the cabinet colors and all of these things.

Speaker 1:

And it is just such a special Opportunity and, like I said, the fact that it's coming from my friend, like I would not want this opportunity to be happening any other way and I just hope that that gives you hope that, like your dreams are going to happen on a timeline that you don't even know, and even if right now it feels like your dreams are not happening. It's having that trust that, like you're being led into the direction that you are meant to go. I have just been thinking a lot about, like the soul's journey, right, and how we do not know the timelines and how we do not Like every single time that we're listening to our intuition, like we're literally creating our story. We are creating our journey, right, our journey is being unfolded, as every single day and every single time that we listen to the intuitions and we Follow our curiosities, like we're unfolding our life. And that's just such a exciting and beautiful Concept that I literally think about so much, right, and I don't know, just gives me a lot of peace. I think I have a lot of this. Experience has just taught me so much about just being in flow with life, like we can put ourselves in the direction of our dreams by following our intuitions and you know, yes, just becoming people that we want to be, essentially, just having the intention every single day to become the person that we want to be and that, literally, is going to lead you exactly where you're supposed to go with all the dreams that are meant to happen for you, and that's just such a cool concept, right, like gives me a lot of peace. I hope it gives you a lot of peace. So so, yeah, that is the nine-year manifestation, and when I'm at right now with this is so, essentially, I Came back to Maryland and, as you may have known, I have been here helping my mom.

Speaker 1:

I moved back here, so I was living in Colorado for seven years, basically, and I ended up leaving Colorado in November to move back home to help my mom For a bit as she was navigating some health issues. But my mom was doing really really well and that in itself is kind of giving me, like you know, kind of I feel like I'm kind of on the ledge of like, okay, what am I doing next? Right, like I don't. You know my mom's doing really well, what am I gonna do now? And this tiny house opportunity, it's just like giving me direction, right, and you know, the past few months of living here in Maryland I have not had a job because, you know, my mom needed pretty much around the clock care and, with her doing so much better, it's giving me this space to, like, you know, okay, I can get a job now. And Essentially, when I was in Colorado, I was at archipelago, which is the place that I met this woman at, by the way, I was sitting up in the attic and I was like on some job forums, you know, trying to figure out, you know, a job, and I was honestly feeling a bit overwhelmed because I'm only planning to be here until the end of May in Maryland, and this tiny house is Going to be ready between April and May and it needs to be moved off of her property by June.

Speaker 1:

So I'm like, okay, well, I'm not gonna be in Maryland for that much longer and I don't really want to spend my time searching for jobs. I would so much rather like get a job and start making money as soon as possible so I can apply for a loan, right, like, obviously, I need to figure out how to pay for this, this dream, right? So it, you know. I then also Remembered, when I was sitting up there, starting to feel a bit overwhelmed about finding a job, I was like, well, I just went into my old restaurant so I used to work at.

Speaker 1:

I worked at this restaurant for seven years Between different states, so in Maryland and Colorado, I all together I worked at this restaurant for seven years and I told myself that I would never work there ever again, quite literally. And I, my mom and I, went an eight there about two weeks before this and I remember I was talking to one of the girls I used to work with, who is now a manager, and I was like I should reach out, was like my, my intuition came in and was like Just reach out to her. So I met, I ended up messaging her on Facebook. I'm just like, hey, I'm curious if you all are hiring for bartenders, servers or anything. And they were so, basically, that day I had a job pretty much set and I'm working at this restaurant now that I told myself I would never work at ever again. And it's like I had to swallow my pride a bit.

Speaker 1:

And I will say that, you know, working at a restaurant that I told myself that I would never work at has definitely been a journey, because you know, it's very easy to feel like, oh my god, I'm taking steps backward, I'm working at a place that I never I told myself I would never work out, like I'm a failure, I'm messing up all of these things, like that's one side of it, or it can be like Thinking of a slingshot right, like my friend actually was telling me this the other day. It's like she was asking it's like, how are you doing, like working at a restaurant that you used to work at, you know, when you were like 18 years old? Like, do you feel? Like you're kind of backtracking? And I was like, yes, I do, but, and you know, but I have to think like I'm doing this for a reason. Right, I'm doing this for something bigger than me and I'm not the same person that I was when I was 18 years old, right, and it's like learning how to swallow our pride in pursuit of our dreams. And I think this is just such the thing that's not talked about enough when it comes to a dream is like we see all the time like, oh, follow your dreams, become an entrepreneur, all of these things, do the things.

Speaker 1:

And a lot of times our circumstances are not perfect in pursuit of this, and like that is totally okay. Like, yes, I'm working at a restaurant that I told myself I would never work at, but I'm doing it because a dream, a literal dream, is manifesting in my life and I will swallow my pride a bit in order to make this dream happen and I'm just really proud of myself for getting out of my own way and pushing my ego aside to be like so focused on making this dream happen, right, like the stream is here and I'm not gonna let it slip, right. So. But essentially, what she was saying was, like the slingshot, it's like it feels like, you know, you're being pulled back to that old situation, but you're actually gonna be flung forward into something deeper. And I was like, well, yeah, duh, because this, you know, I'm literally gonna have this tiny house which I have wanted for nine years. So, yes, pulling myself back to, you know, a starting ground, I guess, a place that I never, you know, I told myself I would never want to be, but it's so much bigger than that because I'm gonna be flung forward even more, right. So I think sometimes, when we are, you know, in situations that we don't want to be or feel like we're back to where we started, we're not, because we're not the same person as when we started and we're truly gonna be flung into deeper, deeper alignment, deeper purpose, deeper into the direction that we're meant to go. So, so, yeah. So that's the timeline right now.

Speaker 1:

So I'm gonna be in Maryland until the end of May and then from there I'm going to Colorado, gonna be living on her property for a month to test out the tiny house and make sure that it's working and everything's going good, and I essentially from there and figuring out where I'm going after that. I may be moving it to a piece of property outside of the Denver area in Brighton, or I may be moving it to Durango, colorado, which is like a whole other lifestyle change. Or I may be moving to Washington, or I literally have no idea what I'm doing after this tiny house. But I will figure it out and I think that you know it's easy to subscribe to like oh my god, it's like. Can feel nerve-wracking, to be like I don't know what I'm doing next, but it's like. Or you can choose to be in the excitement of like there's so much possibility. What am I gonna do next? You know so. It's just that perspective switch of how we choose to look at the unknown, right?

Speaker 1:

So so, yeah, this was just a bit of a life update for you. I hope that you're finding some peace in your journey of sitting in the unknown or when you're in the waiting period for a dream to happen. Just continue to focus on just becoming the person that you want to be. I think that's like the best piece of advice that I have, because don't get so hung up on the timelines, right? And I do just want to make sure that I tell you about my one-on-one coaching program called Reclaim, which you know.

Speaker 1:

I also was just thinking about this the other day about how, if you know, on a day-to-day basis it can feel like nothing is changing, right, and we feel like every single thing that we're doing doesn't matter. But then when we look back we can see that so much has changed. And Isn't it just crazy to think about how a lot of times that happens when we're not even being intentional about it. Can you imagine what happens when we take intentional action and we intentionally become the person that we want to be? It is absolutely mind-blowing the transformation that can happen in life when it comes to becoming the person that you want to be and taking that intentional action, accountability is a really important part of this journey. I would be honored to support you.

Speaker 1:

I do have a one-on-one coaching program called Reclaim, which is a three-month program to take back your power, regardless of your circumstances, and pave a path towards greater confidence, freedom and joy and becoming that person that you desire. This program would be great for you. If you're like, yes, I am ready to be intentional about becoming the person that I desire and you're seeing the possibilities of what can happen in your life and you're ready to call in more confidence, more freedom, more joy, more of who you want to be, I would be honored to support you. This program would be great for you. If you're wanting to start a podcast, wanting to launch a business, wanting to leave your hometown and move to your dream city, or maybe you just have a different dream that you have and you're just ready to call that in becoming the person that you want to be, and being intentional is a really important part of that process I'd be honored to support you in that.
